Polo weekend in Chantilly
Chantilly, la Capitale du Cheval. (The capital of the horse)
40km north-northeast from Paris centre, surrounded by the Chantilly Forrest you'll find one of the most prettiest little town in France. Chantilly is mostly known for the horse racings and the impressive monuments like the Chantilly Castle.
We went there for the 6th edition of the Franco-Lux Polo Cup. It was a really nice weekend-getaway with great company and perfect weather! Here a few Impressions of our visit to Chantilly.
Stunning doors at the Living Museum of the Horse.
The Castle of Chantilly, always a visit worth.
We stayed at the Best Western Hotel in the Center. As we booked quite late all the typical châteaux hotels, like the Auberge du Jeu de Paume or the Dolce Resort (which is next to the Polo Club) were fully booked. It was still a good second choice, big rooms good selection at breakfast buffet and there was even a small SPA area and a privat backyard. Everything was very close to the hotel, you could walk to the castle by foot and there are also very nice restaurants near by.
Le Bouchon Gourmand - Delicious Food and nice Ambiente!
Let's Polo !
Chantilly Polo Club
After the Polo Matches we stayed at the Club House for the Asado (Argentinien Barbecue)
