Galentine's Day, what's that?
Basically, it's like Valentine's Day, only instead of celebrating the love you have for your significant other, you spend it with your best girlfriends, who are after all your soul mates, and therefore deserve a holiday all to themselves, too. Invented by Leslie Knope from the comedy series Parks and Recreation.
Regardless of the holiday, spending a day with your best friends is sure to be a hit.
And these ideas will help you to celebrate the best Galentine’s Day ever!
Perfect time of the year to get together with your friends for some much-needed girl time, and what better to do than watch your favorite movies? All snuggled up in matching Pyjamas a cup of hot chocolate, snacks or a glass of wine and the Sex and the City marathon can begin!
Everyone loves a good spa night, invite your besties over and do the whole beauty program. I can tell you - fun factor guaranteed!
There are a lot of cute Valentine’s Day cookie recipes, especially with the help of Pinterest. That will make it such a fun party! And one that you and your girls will definitely remember.
Host a Galentine’s Day brunch with your best friends! Book a nice fancy restaurant and enjoy some quality time with your besties. Combine it with a shopping trip and the day will be perfect.
Whatever you decide to do, don't forget to capture the moments! Have a lovely Valentine's and or Galentine's Day.
My Galentine's Day:
We choose to observe the day of lady love with brunch (our other true love), at the Amelys Restaurant at the Le Royal Hotel. Which I highly recommend if you are looking for a chic and good Restaurant in Luxembourg. Amazing service, delicious food and such a nice ambience. Here a few impressions of our girls day at the Le Royal Hotel.
First things first, Champagne at the Piano Bar.
Lunch in the Restaurant Amelys. I had the salmon as starter...
... followed by the pike-perch fillet which was divine!
Nothing better than ending this lovely Lunch with some delicious chocolate for dessert!
The renovations at the Hotel are almost finished and it looks so beautiful now. Everything is very chic and modern renewed with a touch of elegance to reflect the hotel name. I especially love the art pieces and paintings in the piano bar and the tastfully furnished Lobby area with the soft lighting.
Sunday Brunch at the Amelys Restaurant is always the best, but don't forget to make a reservation in advance. In summer the terrace at the courtyard will be open and is the ideal place for a coffee stop after a walk in the Kinnekswiss Parc, which is just across the street or after a long shopping day in the city.
If you want to enjoy a romantic dinner then the Restaurant La Pomme Canelle will be the perfect location. This excellente french gastronomic restaurant will delight your sense. I love to go there for themed events, like the upcoming Caviar, Flavours of an evening in March!
